WUSS recruiting

June 11

Pholeos was sent to the mailroom today! You can probably expect them in about a week, knowing Wittenberg. :)

WUSS has finally begun summer work in earnest. A group went down to help with the gating at Carter Caves a few weeks ago, and we've had four ODNR trips since then. The last three have been to the totally *awesome* caves of Franklin county. We'll be heading up to Put-in-Bay the middle of next week. The calendar has been updated if you want to know where we're heading.

April 11

Email addresses at the wusscavers domain are available to those who would like them. Just contact {webmaster@wusscavers.com}. In addition, it appears that the episode of "Cities of the Underworld" featuring Organ Cave has been moved to the 14th (9PM) and 15th (1AM). Maybe they aren't lying this time. ;)

April 8

The library page has been restructured. There are now links to different sections of the library. All of them are up except for the international grotto section, which is still being catalogued. Enjoy!

April 7

There have been two rescues in Mexico in the past week and a half. Trip reports are here and here. Both are in Spanish.

April 1

BCI's March newsletter is up. See it here. Also, April 7th episode of "Cities of the Underworld" on the History Channel is going to feature Organ Cave (warning: you can't turn the music off).  Organ Cave is a tourist cave in WV. It was discovered over 300 years ago, has 45 miles of mapped passage, and is on the list of '30 Longest Caves in the World.' Apparently their main thing is paleontology and the history of the cave, but it looks like they have some nice formations, too.

In addition, an overview of WUSS's current open surveys has been posted.
